WordPress Maintenance

Plugin & Update Management

WordPress Core Updates

Did you know that hackers attack WordPress sites over 90,978 per minute? I keep your WordPress Core up-to-date to help defend against many of these attacks.

Plugin Updates

52% of all WordPress vulnerabilities are due to plugins! I regularly check to make sure your plugins up-to-date to proactively protect your site.

Theme Updates

11% of WordPress vulnerabilities are due to out-of-date & poorly coded themes. I keep your theme updated to the latest version to nullify many potential hacks.

Safe Updating with Automatic Restore Points

Keeping your site updated is critical for security but updating themes & plugins can often unintentionally break your website. I minimise the risk by creating a restore point before updating. If I detect a problem with an update the website can be rolled back to the restore point so you do not suffer any downtime.

Plugin Vulnerability Monitoring

I check your WordPress plugins regularly against a database of known security issues. If any vulnerable plugins are detected then I make sure they are updated to the latest secure version before hackers have a chance to corrupt your data or steal your client’s information.

Website Performance Monitoring

Weekly Speed Reports

Did you know that 40% of people immediately leave a website that takes over 3 seconds to load? Page speed is also an important factor in your Google search rank. I perform weekly checks to determine how well your homepage performs and provide actionable tips to help reduce your loading times.

Real-time Site Uptime Monitoring

Every time your website goes offline you lose traffic & money. With Uptime Monitoring your site is scanned every 60 seconds to check its status & you are contacted immediately if a problem is discovered.

Weekly Performance Audits

Website Performance has a huge impact on page speed, SEO ranking & server resources. I send you weekly reports & recommendations so you get the most out of your website & your server resources.

Daily Backup & Easy Restore

Daily Website Backups

Can you afford to lose your website? Are you relying on your host to backup your data? All my WordPress Management Packages include Daily Website Backups as standard so you can rest assured that if there is ever a problem with your site it can be rolled back to a recent backup with minimal interruption to your customers.

Off-Site Backup Storage

All backups I make are saved separately from your website’s hosting server so if your host gets corrupted your backup remains safe & secure. Backups can be stored on EU or USA servers depending on your choice to help you comply with EU/USA regulations.

WordPress Management FAQ

WordPress Management requires admin access to your WordPress Dashboard. This can be done during or after checkout at your convenience. In some instances, I may require access to your hosting provider in order to set up security monitoring. Learn how to create a new WordPress admin account here.

What is the minimum subscription length?

The minimum subscription is just 1 months. You are free to cancel at any time!

What if I need more than 1 hour of WordPress development / month?

Please contact me directly if you require extra WordPress Development time or work not included within the scope of the WordPress Management packages.

What is not included in the 1 Hour WordPress development?

  • Content Writing Services
  • Building New Websites or Subdomains
  • Graphic Design Services
  • Logo Design Services
  • Creating New WordPress Themes/Plugins
  • Server/Hosting Maintenance
  • PHP or JavaScript Projects without Prior Approval

How does the real-time uptime monitor work?

The uptime monitor pings your WordPress site every 60 seconds to ensure your website is working and accessible to customers. If your website does go down for any reason, the uptime monitor will contact you immediately via email, text message or Slack notification.

How often do you update WordPress core, themes & plugins?

Updates are done daily, weekly or monthly depending on the risk of new bugs interrupting your website’s uptime vs the need to patch security vulnerabilities. Before major updates are performed, a restore point is created allowing your website to be rolled back to its previous working state in the event an update does create problems.

How long are backups kept for?

Backups are done incrementally and are stored for up to 90 days.

Where are WordPress backups stored?

Backups are stored in the EU or the USA depending on your preference.
